2022 Driving the Difference Scholarships Announced

17th November 2022

The Transport Women Australia Limited Driving the Difference scholarship winners have been announced for 2022, TWAL is proud to provide this opportunity every year with their sponsor Daimler Truck Australia Pacific, to women in the transport and logistics industry who want to advance their career within the industry or to enter our industry.

The programme is in its fourth year and each year the applications become harder and harder to choose between, the quality since the beginning has been extremely high but the range of courses selected by the candidates in 2022 has been the most varied since the inception of the scholarships. This year was the hardest year of judging that we have had so far, and it is always disappointing that you cannot award them to everybody.
However, we have six very worthy candidates who will be presented with their certificates at end of year functions in the city closest to them: the successful applicants are Ainsleigh Bilato of Adelaide, Brooke Tran of Perth, Ellen Tandy of Forbes, and Nichole Speers of Wollongong, both Regional NSW, then Joana Feiteira and Sally-Ann Eather of Sydney.

All the candidates provided outstanding applications and courses that will assist them in advancing within our industry and contribute to the future of all women as leaders. TWAL and Daimler are very proud to support women as female participation continues to grow in the industry. Leadership skills and careers are enhanced by programmes such as these, and the opportunity that the scholarship provides, being awarded the Driving the Difference scholarship means that those successful applicants can undertake a course of study that might otherwise be out of their reach.
We encourage everyone who can apply for these scholarships in 2023 when they become available because you have the same chances everyone else to be awarded one of them.
