As the WA Director of TWAL and volunteering with TRANSAFE WA’s
iNSTRUCKTA! program, attending the 2024 Camp Quality Convoy Perth on 13th October was an incredible experience that combined community spirit, fun, and a crucial message about road safety.
The event brought together a vibrant mix of participants, families, and volunteers, all united by the shared goal of supporting children facing cancer. The convoy of trucks paraded through Perth, transforming the streets into a sea of arm pumps and joy, showcasing the strength and resilience of the Camp Quality community.
The atmosphere was electric, filled with laughter, music, and camaraderie. I had the pleasure of meeting some inspiring individuals, which reinforced the importance of community support in the fight against childhood cancer. The enthusiasm of the children and their families was contagious, making the day not only meaningful but also a lot of fun.
TWAL are grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a fantastic event and look forward to continuing our efforts in advocating for safer roads in Western Australia.
This event was a perfect reminder of the power of community advocacy and also, the role we all play in promoting road safety, knowing that together we can make a positive impact on our roads and support those in need.
