Transport Women Australia Limited wrapped up the week holding the International Women’s Day dinner in Sydney last night. Hosted by director Di Caldwell-Smith and Company Secretary True Ross-Sawrey, and proudly sponsored by
Teletrac Navman.
The night was inspiring, with many incredible women celebrating the ways gender diversity can be challenged ‘/cracking the Code’. From our guest speaker Emily Bobis Co-Founder of Compass IoT, who with her co-founder established a road intelligence platform, providing connected vehicle data to map road deterioration, congestion and safety data software which is very relevant for the transport industry. Compass Iot’s aim is to build better cities with convenient and easy to use software. Emily’s presentation and her story were an inspiration to all, and we appreciated her making the effort to be there.
We were pleased to have Sarah James from Teletrac Navman, as well as a strong supporter of TWAL, Simon O’Hara from
Road Freight NSW. Also attending were two of our members who have recently won awards. Sally-ann Eather – Winner of RFNSW Transport Women of the Year 2023, and Caitlin Barlow – Winner of RF NSW Best Industry Newcomer 2023.
We were also joined by a large team from SCT Logistics.
We had many members join us and a huge thanks to our supporters and sponsors who donated the raffle and lucky door prizes, which some very happy winners on the night, in particular, our thanks to Teletrac Navman, Kai & Co for your support with the great raffle prizes.
