Recently, TWAL volunteer Cecilia Lomuntad proudly represented Transport Women Australia Limited during a Whatβs My Line school visit at Blacktown, NSW.
These visits are part of the Inspiring the Future program, facilitated by the Vocational Innovation Centre of Seven Hills High School and Collegiate School, where volunteers share real-world career insights with students and help broaden their understanding of future work opportunities. TWAL volunteers completed four school visits in November alone β an incredible effort!

During the session, Cecilia spoke with students about her role in the transport industry β tracking deliveries, problem-solving, and communicating with suppliers and receivers to ensure everything runs smoothly. The students quickly discovered that transport is an exciting industry full of challenges, teamwork, and purpose.
The best part? Many students left the session inspired and excited about careers theyβd never considered before β with several showing strong interest in becoming Customer Service Officers

One educator even shared that Cecilia made customer service sound fun and achievable, highlighting the importance of a positive attitude when things donβt go to plan.
Before the discussion, the students guessed Cecilia might be a:

Chef

Teacher

Family Daycare Educator

Banker

Artist

Physiotherapist
Moments like these remind us how powerful representation and real conversations can be in shaping young minds and opening doors to endless career possibilities.
Thank you, Cecilia, and all our TWAL volunteers who continue to make a difference
